About our family:
My wife and I have been in the USA for the last 30+ years. I am a scientist with a PhD degree (Biochemistry) and worked as a Manager in a diagnostic company. My wife is a homemaker with an MA degree in Economics. We are originally from Kerala.
We have two sons and the older son, Raja is married and right now attends Harvard Business School for his MBA. His wife is a physician and recently we were blessed with a beautiful grandson.
The younger son Rajesh after having graduated from the Johns Hopkins University joined St. George’s University for his M.D. He graduated in May 2008. He will begin his internal medicine residency later this month (June '08) at State University of New York (SUNY) located in Brooklyn, New York. We hope that Rajesh will have a chance to get to know the prospective bride via e-mail/phone and possibly will get to meet her at some point later. If everything goes well we would like to see him married at a mutually agreeable time.
Both our children were brought up in such a way that they are exposed to both the cultures and feel quite proud of their heritage, customs and habits. With respect to Rajesh’s personal characteristics, Rajesh is a very loving and affectionate person. He has a wide circle of friends and enjoys spending time with family & friends. He is optimistic in his outlook and generally cheerful and calm in his temperament. He speaks Tamil quite well and understands a good deal of Malayalam. He has always been a vegetarian, but does consume eggs & dairy products.
He enjoys listening to Indian & Western music, as well as watching South Indian/Hindi movies. He enjoys good food and is very fond of all the typical dishes we make at home. He also likes to indulge in cooking when he gets time. Rajesh’s other interests include gardening, traveling, reading, playing tennis, and jogging. Rajesh is spiritually inclined and visits temple regularly both here and during his trips to India. He is close to his relatives back home and keeps in touch with them regularly via email/phone.
